Accuro has now moved to Unit 6 Phoenix House, Hastingwood Road, Hastingwood, Harlow, Essex CM17 9JT. The provider is in the process of updating their location details with the Care Quality Commission.

A parent of a child who used the service said that they were very pleased with the care that their child had received. They told us, "[My child] is looked after well. They know [them] very well. They built up that relationship. [My child] seems very happy when [they're] with them."

Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure children's safety and welfare.

A parent of a child who used the service told us, "They put me in touch with a youth group. [My child] now has a friend." There were suitable arrangements in place for the provider to assist people who used the service or their families to obtain appropriate health and social care support.

We saw that appropriate records were maintained when medicines were given to children.

There were effective recruitment procedures in place to ensure that new members of staff were suitable for the work to be performed.

A parent of a child who used the service told us, "They send you a form about how they can improve [and the service] come around to do a check and make sure everything is OK." There were appropriate arrangements in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of the services provided.

We used a number of different methods to help us understand the experiences of people using the service, because the people using the service had complex needs which meant they were not able to tell us their experiences.

Following our visit we contacted five relatives of people using the service by telephone. Everyone we spoke with said that they were very satisfied with the care provided by the agency. They told us that their family support workers were reliable, and provided all the care and support that they needed. One person told us, 'They have been fantastic. They are reliable, friendly and they know the children well.'

The people we spoke with told us that they were confident that the family support workers received the training and support to be able to meet people's needs. They said that they regularly saw the manager and found her very good. One person told us, 'They have been brilliant for my family. Really supportive. I can't fault them.'
