People told us that meetings took place for people using the service and their representatives to provide opportunities to influence the service provided.

People commented that the food was good although not always very hot.

People said that the staff were friendly helpful and polite, and their choice was respected.

One person said she and her husband had chosen to move to Cheney House because it was smaller and cleaner than the previous care home they had stayed at.

All of the people we spoke with said they felt safe at Cheney House.

People told us about the recent improvements they had seen in the home. They were happy that a range of activities were provided and that staff responded to changes in their or their relative's needs. Positive comments were made about the new chef and the food being served by the home. People felt safe and well cared for in Cheney House. They said they liked the staff and some commented that the staff were often very busy.
