We looked at consent issues and found that the service was working with the people and their relatives to ensure that the care was provided in the way they wanted and was consistently meeting people's needs.

We looked at safeguarding arrangements and found that there were procedures in place and the staff were trained in recognising abuse in both vulnerable adults and children.

We looked at the systems in place for recruiting staff and found that the service followed all of their procedures.

We looked at the complaints procedure and the complaints log and found that this was managed appropriately.

Following our inspection visit to the office we made telephone contact with three relatives of people using the service and three members of staff. Everyone we spoke with said that they were happy with the service and had no complaints.

Some comments we received from family members of people who used the service were: 'We are very happy with the care it is of a very high quality,' 'The staff appear well trained and seem to have a lot of experience' and 'We have no worries or complaints.'

Some comments from staff were: 'Without a doubt we maintain people's privacy and dignity,' 'This is a very good agency, training is good and the staff are very good,' and 'We can speak to the manager at any time if we need to, she is an excellent manager.'
