During an inspection looking at part of the service
At the visit the manager told us that Age Concern Sandwell had been renamed recently to Age UK Sandwell. This is a change that had happened for a number of Age Concern Branches. She told us that she had taken advice from our registration team and was in the process of sending us the relevant paperwork so that we could assess this information and change our records.
People who use the service experience safe, effective and appropriate care that meets their needs and protects their rights.
Not all of the people who use this service were able to talk to us directly about their care and treatment. We spent time during this visit talking with the office staff, and speaking with the main carers and the staff. We were told that people were supported safely and where possible they were involved in the planning of their care and treatment. One carer said, 'They help me considerably'. Another said, 'They are brilliant, they have all been very obliging'.
