All Inspections

3 September 2013

During a routine inspection

We spoke with two people who had been treated at SK:N Milton Keynes and they both told us that they were very pleased with the results of their treatment. Another person told us that all the staff were very professional and that the environment was nice and clean. Another person had arrived for their first treatment and they said that they had been recommended to come to SK:N by a family member.

We found that while the provider had a complaints policy, this information was not readily available to people as information on how to raise a complaint was not displayed within the premises. The manager corrected this on the day of our inspection.

We saw that there were information leaflets available for people to take away to read about the types of treatment offered.

We found SK:N Milton Keynes to be clean and that infection prevention measures were in place which ensured the safety of people using the service. We found the service to be well managed.

15 January 2013

During a routine inspection

We spoke with two people who used the service and they told us that they were happy with the treatment provided by the staff. They told us that the staff had given them information about the risks and benefits of their chosen treatment and how to look after their skin once they had received their treatment. They also told us that they had been asked to give a full medical history before receiving their treatment to make sure that any treatment was given safely and in accordance with their needs. The people we spoke with told us that they were made fully aware of any treatment fees they were required to pay before they received their treatment.

24 March 2011

During a routine inspection

Although the patient satisfaction survey results were positive, we did not speak to any patients so cannot report directly on what the people using the service had experienced.

Staff told us that they felt supported and that training was provided to help them develop in their roles.
