During a routine inspection

People using the service spoke positively about the care and support that they were given by Newham Crossroads. Some of the comments included; 'I am happy with the service I receive,' 'It has given me the freedom to go shopping and see friends,' 'I could not live independently without the service,' 'The service has made a difference because it has got me to go out with my carer. I now have an electric wheelchair which gives me confidence,' 'My carer always follow my care plan, which I am happy about' and 'Using the service has made me feel more safe and secure'.

We saw evidence of comments made by some of the relatives of people using the service and also found that they were positive. Some of the comments included: 'Our Crossroads carer provides conversation, stimulation and friendship,' 'It has given my mum personal one to one attention and company and it makes me happy to know that she has a personal companion' and 'We are totally relying on Crossroads' carers. We are grateful and looking forward to the coming years'.

We spoke with a social care professional who told us, 'Our client has been given very good support from the agency. They have been very active and always attend meetings regarding the client's safety and welfare. They are also good at monitoring the client and have been a good 'first point of contact for matters' relating to the individual. I am very happy with the services provided by the agency'.
