During a routine inspection
The agency currently employed 34 live-in carers, one manager and one care coordinator and provided a service to 20 people.
We spoke with two people who received a service from the agency and one of the live-in carers. We also spoke with the manager and the coordinator. All staff we spoke with were professional and demonstrated a good understanding of their job role and a commitment to providing a good caring service.
People told us 'Everything is alright', 'It is important that I get carers that know me' and 'They do everything that I need them to do'.
The manager had a good awareness of safeguarding issues and their responsibility in ensuring that any concerns were reported appropriately. Carers safeguarded the people they were looking after. Only experienced carers were recruited to be live-in carers. They received training when they first started working for the agency and then again on a yearly basis. Staff were supported to do their jobs and received the training they needed.
There were systems in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
