We did not visit the home or speak to people who use services as part of this review. At our last inspection in January 2012 people who used services told us they were happy with the care and support provided at the home. Comments included, "The staff are really good here, they care about us and we never have to wait when we call them." "Yes, it's lovely here." "I have my own room and they keep it nice and clean."

We carried out this responsive inspection because we had concerns that this service had not been visited since 2009.

Care plans were being developed with people who used the service or their representatives to ensure they agreed to the care and treatment being provided.

There were some delays identified with ensuring people had a care plan at the point of admission.

There were quality assurance systems in place and people could express their views about the service provided.
