During a routine inspection
When people first joined the clinic relevant personal and medical details were taken from them including their previous medical history and any allergies that they may have. People that we spoke with were positive about staff following up on their care and treatment. They described the service as "great", "brilliant" and "excellent". Staff had received training in how to handle medical emergencies and there was emergency drugs and equipment available.
Relevant clinical staff knew how to spot signs of possible abuse and were aware of how to report any concerns, including to the local authority.
People were cared for in a clean and hygienic environment and there were policies and procedures in place to ensure that this was maintained. The provider had an effective system to regularly monitor the quality of service that people receive.
Staff undertook appropriate training and there were procedure in place for them to undergo annual appraisals.
