During a routine inspection

We spoke with seven of the 37 people who received a service from this agency, and the relative of one other person. All provided very positive feedback about the service they received.

We found that staff provided care in accordance with people's wishes and respected their preferences. People told us that staff understood and met their needs. One person said they were, 'Delighted' with the care they received. Another person told us they only wanted short term care, but that the agency had, 'pulled out all the stops ' and they couldn't be nicer. I can't fault them and they've been very professional.'

People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. We saw that checks were carried out to ensure the suitability of staff before they took up their post. People described the staff who provided care to them as, 'marvellous,' and, 'very helpful.'

We saw there were effective systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided and no complaints had been received in the last 12 months.

The provider showed us numerous compliments that they had received from people. One person particularly praised the management of the agency. They wrote, 'A good organisation is one that is managed well. Yes, that is you [manager]. I have no hesitation in recommending you to others in need of your tender loving care.'

During a routine inspection

During our visit to the office, we collected some comments from people who use the service and checked their responses in a survey carried out by the agency. We also spoke with four people on the phone and they told us that they were happy with the care that they receive and that they felt safe. They told us that they were respected and were had been given appropriate information about the service. People confirmed that they expressed their views through yearly survey, but also in person, as the manager visited each of them at least once a month. People stated that continuity of care was ensured and that they knew all carers coming to them.

One person was particularly pleased that the agency did not put pressure on them to go to a residential home, as was the case with the domiciliary care service they used before WeCare agency.

Another person explained that they did not like the 'Meals on Wheels' service that delivered food to them and negotiated getting their care workers help them prepare own meals with the agency.

A person explained that they had been helped by care workers form the council, but were not happy and changed their care package to this agency. 'My carers are absolutely brilliant, they are solution focused, rather than just keeping records and passing things on to someone else.'

All people with whom we spoke confirmed that they had detailed care plans that were discussed and agreed with them.

We collected the views and experiences of people who use the service from the agency's own quality review. This analysis showed that all people were happy with the service. People indicated their satisfaction of the service by grading the quality of service as 91.98% 'very good' and over 7% as 'good'. The analysed results were 2% better that in the previous years.
