In this month’s report, we explore further the need for providers and other organisations to collaborate to tackle COVID-19. We look at what concerns have prompted us to carry out a number of inspections in recent months, and at the challenges that providers have faced in caring for people detained under the Mental Health Act or subject to a deprivation of liberty.
We want these insight reports to help everyone involved in health and social care to work together to learn from the first stages of the pandemic. This includes:
This report looks at how adult social care services keep people safe from sexual incidents. It also looks at how services can support them to express their sexuality.
This report looks at our work under the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017.
It provides a breakdown of the number and type of notifications we received about IR(ME)R incidents, and findings from our inspections. We also share learning from examples of errors and the actions that providers took to improve.
Our annual report and accounts look at the progress we made in 2018/19, as well as the areas we need to concentrate on during 2019/20.
This report looks at how well the Mental Health Act (MHA) Code of Practice is being used across mental health services since it was updated in 2015.
This report shows what we found from a review on the state of oral health care in care homes across England.
The report reveals an extensive lack of awareness of NICE guidelines.
It concludes that residents are not supported to maintain and improve their oral health.
