Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must ensure that the number of staff available to provide care are sufficient to ensure that the manager is able to carry out managerial duties and is only relied upon to provide care to people using the service to cover unexpected or unplanned staff absence.

The registered provider must ensure policies and procedural guidance is provided to staff with evidence staff have read and understood guidance in relation to; the handling of people’s finances, medicines management, safeguarding, whistleblowing, staff recruitment, death of a service user, restraint, prevention of pressure ulcers, MCA & DoLS

The registered provider must by 28 November 2016 the registered provider must submit to the Care Quality Commission a copy of a written record of training undertaken by all staff involved in the direct care of people including the safe moving and handling of people with evidence of staff having been assessed as competent. record submitted should include the name of the staff member; the date the training was undertaken; the nature of the training; the identity of the training provider; and the competence checks completed.

By 28 November 2016 the registered provider must submit to the Care Quality Commission written evidence of applying for written references including a reference from the most recent employer and disclosure and barring service checks on all newly employed staff working from the location About Care, Whitehouse Distribution Centre, Whitehouse Road, Ipswich IP1 5NX

The registered provider must on the first Monday of each month the registered provider must submit to the Care Quality Commission written evidence of systems in place to evidence regular quality and safety audits to protect people using the service. You must send in action plans following completed audits in relation to; care plan reviews, risk assessments, audit of financial records related to the handling of people’s finances, missed calls, staff spot checks, recruitment, supervision and appraisal of staff.
