We have been shortlisted for this year’s Charity Times Award in the category of Cross-sector partnership of the year.
We are jointly nominated in this category along with Choice Support. Choice Support is one of the support organisations we work with to recruit and support people with experience of health and social care services, whom we call Experts by Experience.

More about Experts by Experience
Experts by Experience bring insights to our work that cannot be captured in any other way.
They take part in our inspections of health and social care services and our visits to monitor the use of the Mental Health Act.
During inspections, they spend time talking to people who use the service and observe the environment. Their findings are used to support our inspector’s judgement and can be included in their report.
Cross-sector partnership
We are among six partnerships to make the shortlist.
The nomination took into consideration the input that Experts by Experience gave into our Review of learning disability services last year, as well as other activities around inspections, training, methodology and strategy.
The winner of the award will be announced on 16 October 2013.
