Breaches found at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals

Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust must take action to address concerns at Pinderfields General Hospital in Wakefield.

Our latest report identifies breaches relating to:

• patient consent
• cleanliness and infection control
• record-keeping
• management of medicines and;
• the state of the premises

The trust has already taken immediate action to rectify some of the concerns, and has since shown us its plans for improvement.

Our inspectors also visited Dewsbury Hospital and Pontefract General Infirmary, both of which are meeting most standards, although with minor concerns.

We will return to Mid Yorkshire to ensure it maintains improved standards.
