The CQC inspection report on Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is due to be published tomorrow (14 March) rating the trust as Good overall.

CQC carried out an inspection at the trust across four days in November and December 2018, looking at four core services: surgery, children and young people’s services, community health inpatient services and community urgent care.

Significant improvements were reported on in surgery and community health services. Within surgery well-led improved to Outstanding, advancing the overall rating. Within community health services, the overall rating improved to Outstanding also.

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust was again rated Good overall and for services that are effective, responsive and well-led. It was rated Requires Improvement for safe and maintains an Outstanding rating for being caring.

CQC has also published the trust’s Use of Resources report, which is based on an assessment undertaken by NHS Improvement. The trust has been rated as Good for using its resources productively. The combined rating for the trust, taking into account CQC’s inspection for the quality of services and NHSI’s assessment of Use of Resources, is Good.
