Buckinghamshire care home rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has found the quality of care provided by, Gracewell at Maids Moreton, Buckinghamshire, to be Outstanding following an inspection in January 2017.

Inspectors rated Gracewell at Maids Moreton Outstanding for being caring and well-led and Good for being safe, effective and responsive to people’s needs.

Debbie Ivanova, Deputy Chief Inspector for Adult Social Care (South), said:

“We were really impressed by the outstanding level of care and support people received by Gracewell at Maids Moreton.

“We were delighted to see care that people were able to take part in a wide range of meaningful activities within the home and in the local community.

“It was encouraging to see care that was person-centred and how the kind and compassionate staff knew people’s needs and preferences well. People were also fully involved in the planning of their care and were able to provide feedback which was acted upon.

“People benefited from a service that had a clear commitment to providing high-quality and exceptional care. People were encouraged to maintain important relationships and roles with relatives and were supported to attend family events.

“The service was exceptionally well-led and people felt happy, safe and cared for. The team should be extremely proud of the work they do. I congratulate the staff at Gracewell at Maids Moreton for achieving our highest rating.”
