During a routine inspection

Most people we spoke with felt they were included in their care and treatment plans and most told us that they felt safe in the unit and could speak to staff if they had any concerns about their care or treatment. However some people felt they were restricted in accessing some of the facilities. People told us they felt they were receiving medication when they needed it. Most people we spoke with were aware of their treatment plans and felt the staff looked after them well. However a few people told us they had only received a copy of their care plan a few weeks after being admitted.

Generally people using the service did not have any concerns about the cleanliness of the unit, although some of the people we spoke with told us the toilet facilities were not always clean and odour free.
