During a routine inspection

People told us that they were well cared for and supported at Heartly Green. They told us that staff were respectful and kind. One person told us the staff were, "The staff are marvellous. They are subtle in how they make me do things for myself. I have come on really well and improved'.

During this inspection we spoke with seven people who used the service, three visiting relatives, seven members of staff and three visiting professionals. Staff had a good knowledge of people's individual care needs. We observed good communication skills when staff were observed supporting people to regain their independence.

Staff had a good knowledge of people's individual care needs. We found that people were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. We saw that improvements had been made to the record keeping since the last inspection.

We saw that there were quality assurance systems in place to assess the effectiveness of the care and support provided to people who used the service.

During a routine inspection

People told us that they were well cared for and supported at Heartly Green. They told us that staff were respectful and kind. One person said the staff were, "Caring and have helped me regain my confidence' another person said "They have been there for me when I needed them". People told us they felt involved in their care and that the staff listened to them.

We spoke with seven people who used the service, four visiting relatives, seven members of staff and a visiting professional. Staff had a good knowledge of people's individual care needs. We observed good communication skills when staff were observed supporting people to regain their independence.

Staff had a good knowledge of people's individual care needs. They showed empathy when discussing how they supported people to regain their independence.

The service had effective systems in place for monitoring the quality of the service. People told us that they found the manager and the staff team approachable. They said that they would feel comfortable raising any concerns with them.

We saw that the provider had made a number of improvements and action plans to develop this service during the last six months and there was a clear commitment to improving the outcomes for people using this service.
