During a routine inspection

We spoke with two people who used the service, and two other people's relatives. Everybody we spoke with was very positive about the service they received and about the staff that provided the care. One person we spoke with told us that they enjoyed having the same carer to come and visit them and that they knew how they liked to be cared for and supported. The person told us that the staff were very thorough in the care they provided and said "They always make sure they dry my feet and my back. I never have to remind them". Another person told us that the staff were always on time and they stayed for the full hour. They told us that the staff were very clean and presentable and they were happy that everything the staff did was of a good quality.

We found that care had been delivered in accordance with people's care plans and appropriate checks were completed for new staff. We identified concerns with the safeguarding procedures and the professional development that staff received.
