During a routine inspection
We spoke with two patients over the telephone. They told us everything was always explained to them. They said that they were asked to sign a consent form at the start of their treatment. We found there were robust arrangements that enabled patients who used the service to give informed consent to their treatment.
People were provided with consistent support and treatment from appropriately skilled staff. One patient told us 'I have always been happy with the treatment.'
All treatment was given safely in a clean and hygienic environment. Systems were in place to minimise the risk of cross infection. One patient told us 'It's really clean and modern.'
We found that there were effective recruitment procedures before staff commenced employment at the service.
We saw that the service had a complaints policy and that patients were aware of this. One patient told us 'I would always approach them (staff) if I wasn't happy with anything.'
