During a routine inspection

At the time of our visit Goldsmith Personnel Limited (Oxfordshire) had fifty five people using the service. The four people we spoke with were very positive about the service. One person said " they are very good". Another told us "I look forward to my visits". People told us they felt safe and well cared for and that they felt involved with their care.

We spoke with four care workers who all said they enjoy working with the service. They felt they were well trained and prepared to do their job. They were all confident they could keep the people in their care safe. One said, "We try to maintain a continuity of care for people where possible. We suggest changes so that people have more choice and this promotes their independence".

We saw that care workers were correctly recruited and selected. The management maintained good control of information and records which enabled them to manage risks appropriately and effectively

During a routine inspection

People we spoke with were positive about the quality of the care they received. People told us that they knew who to contact within the agency and that staff were well trained and knowledgeable about their care needs.

People told us that they had a choice in who provided their care and could request a change if care was not being given in the way they wanted. People said the carers 'are very good listeners '

People we spoke with told us that their care was regularly reviewed and that if there were problems they were confident that the manager would investigate them. People said they 'were very happy with the service 'People told us that they would be listened to and that action would be taken if they had a complaint or concern.
