All Inspections

During a routine inspection

We found that Mosaic was accessable via a secure access intercom system to ensure that all individuals entering the premises were monitored.

We spoke with four members of staff and two people who had experienced of the service and were now no longer engaged in a programme. One of the people we spoke to who had experience of the service was now working as a volunteer on the peer support programme that was in place at the service. We sampled four care records and five staff personnel files and found them to be comprehensive and well maintained.

Mosaic had a robust process for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults who accessed or their parents accessed the service. They had close working links with local agencies and the police and criminal justice system to support this process.

We found there was a robust process in place to monitor the quality of the service provided and to support workers within the service.

Although Mosaic had not had any complaints in recent months there was a system in place to deal effectively with this.

We were told; "This service is truly a life saver, I don't know where I would be if I had not come here. I intended to come just for a few meetings as part of my court order but I found it was so helpful, here I am out the other side and now able to function independently. They listen and take what you say on board, they dont insist they suggest. They have made a massive difference to me and my future. They have taught me there is nothing I can't do if I want to".

During a routine inspection

When we visited Mosaic we spoke with five of the people who use the service. We also spoke with the Registered Manager, the Family Team Manager and a Key Worker. We looked at the paper records for six people who use the service and the personnel files for two of the people who work for the service. We also looked at the electronic records for a further two people who use the service.

We found the records to be well kept and provided enough information so that the people who use the service received support and treatment according to their requirements.

Everyone we spoke with was happy with the service.

One person told us 'I am happy with everything, I know who to speak with if I am not happy with anything and I am comfortable with my key worker and feel I could say if anything was not ok'. They also told us 'Even though I have finished my programme they are still available to help if I need it and I am getting involved with the 'peer mentoring' programme'.
