During a routine inspection
People told us they felt respected by staff and were fully involved in the decisions about their dental care and treatment.
With their permission, we accompanied four people during their consultation and treatment. Following their treatment one person told us, 'Very efficient, chatty with you.' Another person commented on the friendly atmosphere and the way staff put people at their ease. They told us they normally found it to be, 'Pain free, except for the jokes.' Where a person had told us they had been very anxious, they told us, 'Very nice (staff), helps me relax.'
We saw that people were asked to provide staff with updated information about their health and changes of medication before any treatment was carried out. This meant that staff could take any changes into account, and make any changes if required to their treatment plan. One person told us that staff, 'Always check what tablets I'm on', which they felt was, 'Quite important,' in case it affected their treatment.
People told us that they normally found the waiting and clinic areas to be clean and tidy.
