During a routine inspection
We looked at the care files of three people using the service. We found that individual needs were established when people were first referred to the service and were regularly reviewed. Support plans were continually evolving to respond flexibly to changes in peoples' needs.
Effective recruitment procedures were in place to ensure staff had undergone the relevant checks before commencing their employment
The staff members we spoke with told us that before they joined the agency they were given sufficient information and training to be confident they were able to meet the particular needs of the person they were supporting.
We saw that staff training was up to date and that a system of regular supervision sessions and annual appraisals was in place.
The provider had a system in place to monitor and assess the quality of the service they provided.
