During a routine inspection

We saw relationships with staff were friendly and respectful. One person told us 'It's good here', another said 'If I want anything they help me' and a third said 'I like Dimensions help, they're there for me'. A relative we spoke with said they were pleased with the support provided to their family member but another told us communication with families could be better.

We observed staff interactions with people who use the service. Staff had a good rapport with them and demonstrated a helpful and friendly attitude. One person told us their skills had improved since using the service. They said 'I'm very good at washing and cooking now'.

We found staff training in health and safety was up to date but there were some aspects of dealing with challenging behaviour that were not addressed. Staff also told us they did not have enough guidance in dealing with some issues at both induction and in the service. This meant there was the potential for staff not to be able to manage behaviour due to lack of suitable training and guidance.

People told us they could voice their opinions at meetings called 'Everybody Counts' and they had also completed surveys.

We found the service had moved premises since our last visit. We saw written evidence that the service was in the process of submitting an application to register with the Care Quality Commission and we had been notified in writing of the changes. This meant the service was striving to meet its legal obligations.
