During a routine inspection

People told us they liked living at the home. One person said, "I like the people, the home, the staff and the manager."

People living at the home told us that they were involved in discussions about menu planning, activities and holidays through 'Your Voice' meetings, which were held monthly. They also said they felt able to raise any issues with staff or management informally at other times.

One person said, "they treat you with respect here, and they understand what you need." Another person agreed with this and added, "you can go out when you want. You can go to the shops." Another person said "I like to be able to do what I like".

People told us they felt safe living at the home. They knew how to raise concerns both formally and informally. They also told us they felt they would be supported if they did raise a concern and that staff knew how to meet their needs.

Staff that we spoke with had a good understanding of how they would protect people's privacy and dignity, and we saw this in their interactions with people living at the home. Staff were able to speak with confidence about the care and support they provided to each individual. They told us they had sufficient access to management and were able to raise training needs at regular supervision and appraisal sessions.
