During a routine inspection
Parents we spoke with told us their children were treated with respect during their treatment. One parent told us, 'the interaction between the dentist and X is very good, they put X at ease.' Another told us, 'it is a positive experience, they are very professional.'
We viewed four dental records. We saw evidence of medical histories and full dental examinations. This was evidenced with parents we spoke with.
We found people received care and treatment in a clean environment with infection control measures in place to minimise the risk of infection.
Staff were supported and had the opportunity to continue their professional development to ensure that they were fit to practice and had current knowledge of dental procedures.
Patients were made aware of the complaints procedure. The practice had a complaints policy on display in the waiting room and we found that no complaints had been received during 2013.
