During a routine inspection
People we spoke with told us they received good care. One person told us "my carer comes every day and does a good job." Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. There were risk assessments on file. Risk assessments we viewed included moving and handling, the environment in people's homes, appliances and lone working for care workers.
People's health, safety and welfare was protected when more than one provider was involved in their care and treatment, or when they moved between different services. This was because the provider worked in co-operation with others. The manager told us the service would work with the local authority and health professionals to ensure people received the care that met their individual needs.
Appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work. The manager told us before staff started working with the agency they conducted a criminal record check to ensure people were not barred from working with vulnerable adults.
People we spoke with told us they knew how to make a complaint if they needed to. People told us they had no complaints about the service they received.
