During a routine inspection

Echotech provides cardiac scans in the community. It carried out approximately 30,000 examinations across 96 sites in England in the last year. We were able to speak to people who used the service at a local clinic who said they were treated with kindness and that their dignity was respected throughout the test.

We found that people's needs and risks had been assessed and that scans were carried out taking into account individuals needs. We observed systems in place to ensure that machines were maintained safely. There was adequate skilled staff to care for patients. We saw that there was a robust system was in place which assessed and monitored the quality of service provision and that records were made and stored securely.
