All Inspections

During a routine inspection

Due to the transient and confidential nature of the clinical services provided we did not talk to people who used the service. However, we were able refer to feedback from people who used the service and other information sources to understand people's experiences.

We found that the large majority of people who used the provider's services gave positive feedback about their experience. The findings of the most recently collated feedback sample across all services showed that nearly 90% of the people surveyed rated the service they received as excellent. A survey of 221 clients who used one of the provider's sexual health and contraception clinics showed that 90% of the people who gave feedback had come to the clinic having had the service recommended to them by a friend.

We found that the risks to people who used clinical services were managed effectively and that people were involved in and informed about their treatment and support at every stage of the care pathway. The provider regularly consults with people who use its services to develop the information it provides. This enables the provider to give people who may use its services information that is accessible and fit for purpose.

We also found that people were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment.

The provider made sure that changes to care quality were implemented as necessary and regularly evaluated the safety and effectiveness of its clinical services.

Because of the confidential nature of sexual health services, we were unable to talk to people using the service but we did see the collated results of surveys the completed. People were positive about the information they were provided with before they made important decisions about their sexual health; felt treated with respect and had their confidentiality and privacy protected.

People were satisfied with the quality of care and support they received and felt safe using the service.

People felt safe and protected using the service.

People experienced safe diagnosis, treatment and support from competent, professional and caring staff.

The organisation had systematic ways of collecting people's experiences and views, and responding to them.
