Overview

Inspection carried out on 17 June 2013

During a routine inspection

We spoke with the two people who use the service, the manager and to staff members. People said that they were happy living at Blenheim House.

People told us or expressed that they felt safe and well looked after. People’s hobbies and interests were supported and people had support to achieve their personal goals.

People could express or talk about any problems to the manager and to the staff who would listen and act. One person told us “The staff are good.”

People looked happy and relaxed in the company of each other and staff. People had jobs and opportunities for lifelong learning. People told us that went out into the community and took part in a range of activities.

The lounge, dining room and kitchen were accessible and comfortable and people cooked for themselves and for each other. People were fully involved in the running of the home. People said they were pleased that the garden had been improved and that they all took part in things like the cleaning.
