During a routine inspection

We visited the agency's office and met with two of the managers. We looked at three care records, staff records and documents showing how the manager monitors the quality of the service. We telephoned relatives of the people that used the service to ask about the service their relative received. We telephoned the care staff member and asked for their views of working for the agency and the training and support they received.

The relatives we spoke with gave many positive comments about the care workers and the service they received. We saw that care plans had been signed by the people that use the service or their family member. This showed that the care plan had been discussed with them.

We spoke with a care worker who told us, "I am well supported by the management team and receive sufficient training".

The managers both work directly with the people that use the agency. This enables them to monitor and obtain views of the quality of care practices from the people that they support.
