We found that the location was not providing a service to people at the time of the unannounced inspection.

We were told by a representative of the provider (nominated individual) that since the location was registered with us in 2011 there had been only four patients treated, and the last patient had been seen at the location on 15th May 2012 and since that date CESP@ Central Middlesex Hospital had not been providing a service to people. The nominated individual confirmed that a service would not be provided to people until the contract with the host NHS trust had been amended to include a service level agreement that ensured the location could demonstrate compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010, whilst using the NHS hospital's facilities.

We found from records and policies that before people received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and treatment was provided in accordance with their wishes.

Patient's needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual treatment plan.
