Overview

Inspection carried out on 18 December 2012

During a routine inspection

We spoke to four people who used the service and two relatives of people who used the service. All of the people spoke positively about their experiences and the care they had received. One person told us "I couldn't wish for anything better." Another person told us "They are incredibly helpful."

The records we looked at were well completed and indicated an individual and person-centred approach to care. People had been given information and had been involved in agreeing their support plans and setting their goals.

People told us they had been treated with respect and courtesy and given the time they needed.

We found there were effective safeguarding procedures in place and that care was provided by trained, supervised and motivated staff.

There were systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided and to learn from past experience in order to make service improvements.
