All Inspections

19 November 2013

During a routine inspection

There were three people using the service and we met or spoke with most of them. People said or indicated that they were happy with the service. People looked relaxed and happy in the company of each other and staff.

People were getting ready to take part in activities in the community and left the home during the inspection. One person went to a local club and another went swimming. People were encouraged to be fully involved in the running of the service including taking part in the gardening, cooking and cleaning. One person said that they enjoyed doing gardening.

People's hobbies and interests were supported and people had support to achieve the personal goals and aspirations. Holidays were planned individually to meet people's needs and expectations.

People maintained good health because the service worked closely with health and social care professionals. Records were organised, up to date and held securely protecting people's confidentiality. The home was safe and well maintained and suited people's needs.

There was enough skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs and staff engaged with people in a calm, respectful and reassuring manner.
