All Inspections

During a routine inspection

As part of our inspection we spoke with three parents whose children currently received support from Scope Inclusion. Comment from the parents included; 'I would recommend the service to other parents. I was told about scope by somebody else and they are very good'. Another parent said to us;'I'm happy enough with everything at the moment. The staff are quite flexible'.

We looked at how families and parents provided consent to their child's care and support and found that there were appropriate arrangements in place. One parent said to us; 'Everything was agreed at the start of the care package. Somebody came out to see us to do an assessment'.

We spoke with to three members of staff to establish if they felt supported to carry out their job role effectively. One member of staff said to us; 'Yes I feel well supported and the training is good. I would like more formal supervision though to check that I am doing this correctly'.

We found that Scope Inclusion had appropriate systems in place to monitor the quality of service provision and to handle complaints effectively.

During a routine inspection

During this visit we spoke to a family member who used the service. This family member praised the support worker who looked after their child. We were told, 'I have a lot of confidence in her'. We were also told, 'On the whole they provide a good service'.

The children's care records contained information to show how they were to be supported and cared for.

Systems were in place to protect children and young people by ensuring that staff were safely recruited and suitably trained in the safeguarding of children and vulnerable people.

Children and young people benefited from a well managed service that had systems in place to protect them from inappropriate and unsafe care and support.
