During a routine inspection

We spoke with people during the inspection and earlier by telephone to ask them about their experiences. People we spoke with told us 'I was very impressed with the full explanation, and information given.' Another person commented, 'A professional scan, he (Mr Devlin registered manager) took a great deal of time reassuring me' and 'The reception lady was lovely, they all were really. They put me at ease.' Everyone we spoke with confirmed their satisfaction with the staff and the service provided.

We also saw that records were well maintained and information recorded was accurate and up to date. Appointment times were made promptly and people we spoke with said that they had not been kept waiting and were impressed with the good organisation of the centre.

We looked at records and talked to the radiographer who confirmed that equipment was audited and serviced regularly to make sure health and safety procedures were met and that people were safe.

We confirmed that people who use the service were asked for their views about their care and treatment and they had access to the complaints process should this be required.

We also saw that the service regularly audited areas such as infection control, temperatures, calibration and equipment maintenance. We also saw that appropriate protocols were in place to ensure the safety of staff, people using the service and equipment.

During a routine inspection

We did not speak with people during the inspection as there were no appointments booked on the day of our visit. However, we were able to talk to people by telephone to ask them about their experiences. People we spoke to told us 'Mr Devlin (registered manager) really puts you at ease, he explained everything to you and reassured you' 'Epic service, I needed more time to adjust to the scanner and he helped me with this so well, really brilliant at getting me through this' and 'I would recommend this service to anyone' and also 'My appointment was very quick and my results were back in no time at all'.

Everyone we spoke with was happy with the service provided.
