During a routine inspection
We spoke with a senior care worker who told us that it was necessary to obtain people's consent before undertaking tasks. One person told us that 'we were given a folder of information which was very professional. Options were explained to us and we were very involved in making decisions about the support we would receive'.
Everyone we spoke with was very positive about the care they received and told us the service was very flexible. One person said 'it is like a breath of fresh air. They deal with my husband very well; he is happy with the girls and feels he can trust them. There is always sufficient time and they are never rushed. Care is reviewed and things can change if they need to.'
Members of the team we spoke with told us that there is good communication between staff and a culture of peer support. One member of staff said 'it is an on-going supportive environment' and went on to say that 'the manager was very approachable and ensured staff had the necessary support.'
We saw that it was very important to the manager that the organisation provided a quality service. One person said 'I have no hesitation in recommending the service; I cannot fault it in any way'.
