During a routine inspection
We received the following comments from the patients: ‘’I’ve had four other dentists – these are the best.’’ ‘’They are really good with children. Everything works really well.’’ ‘’Just had a crown fitted and the dentist really took their time and gave me a leaflet with follow up advice.’’
Patients told us their treatment options were explained fully to them so they were able to make informed decisions about what treatments were best for them and which they would prefer. Patients confirmed they received thorough examinations and were provided with dental advice. This was further confirmed by our inspection of dental records kept by the practice.
We found the service to be adhering to standards of infection control. There were systems in place to monitor standards and these were regularly reviewed.
We found staff were trained and supported to carry out their work at the practice. Staff we spoke with said the practice was good to work for.
We saw there were systems in place to both monitor and further develop the practice to help ensure the best outcome for patients using the service.
