Overview

Inspection carried out on 4 December 2012

During a routine inspection

During this visit we found that Worsley Dental Centre had undergone some refurbishment and there were plans for further improvements. The manager told us that the improvements have had minimal effect on the running of the service.

We spoke with five people who attended for appointments. The people we spoke with told us that they were treated with respect and dignity. One person told us, I am treated with respect and dignity at all times.

All people spoken with confirmed that medical histories were taken and they told us that treatment options were discussed with them and this included the price of treatments.

None of the people we spoke with said they had needed to make a complaint but were aware of how to if necessary. They told us they were more than satisfied with the care, treatment and advice provided by the dentist and the nurse at the practice. Comments included: The dentist is very good. I am always given sufficient information I am very happy with the advice and treatment, The staff are friendly, professional and helpful and The dentist always asks if I have understood the information about the treatment and options available.

People told us that they were given protective equipment during treatment. People told us that the surgery always looked clean and tidy.

All the people we spoke with told us they felt safe and trusted the advice of the dentist.
