During a routine inspection

The agency was downsizing when we carried out this inspection. There were six people receiving a care service and three care workers and the manager providing this support. We found that there were enough staff to meet people's needs.

People told us they and their relatives were happy with the care provided. Comments included 'I'm 100% satisfied they have the right skills to carry out the care required'.

The provider had taken steps to prevent abuse to clients and responded to comments and complaints. Comments from people included 'If I raise issues the manager does deal with them'. Another person told us 'if I've needed to raise something they've always got back to me quickly, within a week at the most. They were understanding and it seems to have rectified the problem'.

We found that improvements to record keeping were needed.

During an inspection in response to concerns

People told us that they were unhappy with the quality of the services provided. We were told that staff were late or did not stay for the length of time that had been agreed.

One relative told us that the regular staff who visited were always adaptable and amenable to changed circumstances when they arrived. We were also told that they had experienced that the registered manager would respond to any concerns quickly. They had appreciated that any new carers had carried out an introductory meeting prior to their first visit to provide support.
