How this check was done

We reviewed all the information we have gathered about Hyde Park Healthcare Limited t/a Hyde Park Care, carried out a visit on 13 December 2012, talked with carers and / or family members and talked with staff. We received feedback from people using comment cards.

Our judgement

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.

Reasons for our judgement

People who use the service, their representatives and staff were asked for their views about their care and treatment and they were acted on. The service conducted regular reviews with people using the service where they asked them about the quality of the services that they were receiving. Evidence was available that changes were made to the way that care and support was provided based upon the feedback the service had received.

The service undertook audits to check that it was meeting the essential standards of quality and safety. They also used an external consultant who did spot checks to check on the standard of services they were providing.

There was a complaints policy and procedure in place which included details about responding to complainants, investigating complaints and reviewing the outcomes. Whilst the service had not received any formal complaints the relatives of people using the service told us they would be comfortable raising any concerns if they had them.
