During a routine inspection
Patients experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. The comments we recorded included: ' It was good health promotion all round. [The manager] picked up other issues with my health and I was able to go and see my doctor.'
Patients were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed. People were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. We found effective checks of equipment and monitoring arrangement for infection control were in place.
We saw that the manager was qualified to undertake the treatments provided and had kept themselves clinically and professionally updated. We saw evidence and certificates from the manager's personal professional profile, which showed training and update courses undertaken in all aspects of treatment provided.
We looked for evidence that there were systems in place to ensure continued monitoring and further, ongoing, improvement. We saw a series of audits [checks] undertaken, as well as a system for the recording of patients' feedback about the quality of the service. These audits and checks help ensured the service was run appropriately and safely.
