People that we spoke with were satisfied and complimentary regarding the carers and the care and support they provided. One person commented that, 'The carers are very helpful and are always respectful.' People told us that they could discuss any changes to their support and that their views were listened to and effectively dealt with. The care plans we saw showed peoples' preferences regarding how they would like their care and support to be delivered.

There were safeguarding procedures in place to protect people from harm. Staff had received training and they were clear about their responsibility in reporting any incidents or allegations of abuse.

There were induction programmes in place and mandatory training was provided to ensure that staff were competent to deliver care. Care staff were regularly supervised to monitor their work performance and development needs.

Quality assurance procedures were in place to monitor the running of the agency and people using the agency were able to raise and discuss any issues and concerns with the carers and management team.

We spoke with four people who received a domiciliary care service. One person told us they had recently starting using the service and had been given enough information about the service and had been involved and consulted about their care. Another person told us that the service was flexible and carers respected their independence, but were there when they needed support. One person told us they would, 'Give the agency 100 %' and stated that staff were respectful and treated them with dignity. Another person said, 'I cannot fault the service. '
