During a check to make sure that the improvements required had been made
We have not revisited the Fairoaks as part of this review because the provider was able to demonstrate that the service was meeting the standard without the need for a visit.
This is what we found: The provider confirmed that safeguarding policies and procedures for both Children and vulnerable adults in line with the guidance established by Surrey County Council safeguarding board had been introduced. The service had obtained the most recent copy of the Surrey Safeguarding Adults, Multi-agency Procedures, Information and Guidance (November 2011) and Surrey Safeguarding Children Board Procedures Manual ( August 2013).
We were told by the manager that staff at Fairoaks had all completed relevant training to ensure that they were aware of the locally developed safeguarding policies and procedures and Surrey County Council safeguarding.
The registered provider , registered manager and one further member of staff completed training in Working Together to Safeguard Children, Introduction to Safeguarding Adults - Level1 and Safeguarding Adults for Dentists, GPs other Healthcare Professionals.
The registered manager told us that the service had developed a full set of clear, open and concise policies for the reporting of any potential safeguarding to the relevant agencies within safeguarding.
