During a routine inspection

There was information about the service and the treatments that it offered available on their website. People using the service told us that they had talked through the treatment options with the staff. They described the service as "very reassuring" and said that staff were "friendly". All consultations took place in private consultation rooms and the practice was accessible to people using wheelchairs.

Details were taken about a person's medical history, previous treatments and allergies before any new treatments were provided and people we spoke with confirmed this. People we spoke with described the service as "10 out of 10" and said that they were happy with the results of their treatment. Staff had been trained in how to handle medical emergencies. There were emergency drugs and equipment in place. In recent patient feedback all respondents said they would "very probably" recommend the practice to others and rated the overall quality of the service as "very good".

The practice was clean and tidy on the day of inspection. There were appropriate infection control policies and procedures in place to maintain a clean and hygienic environment and checks were made by staff to ensure that these were adhered to.

Staff received appropriate training and there was a process in place for them to undergo annual appraisals.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.
