During an inspection looking at part of the service

People told us they were very satisfied with the care they received. People felt supported to live the way they wanted to and they were encouraged to be as independent as possible. There were five people using the service at the time of this inspection.

During a routine inspection

We spoke to people and their relatives about the personal care provided by agency. They told us that receiving personal care was a new experience for them and that the agency had only just begun to operate.

The people we asked explained the support the agency provided and told us that there was flexibility with the times they visited. We were also told that they liked the staff and they knew how to contact the agency.

We also visited people that had live in carers (staff that support people in their homes throughout the day and night) and observed the way the staff interacted with people that they support. We saw that these staff allowed people to make decisions from physical choices given. Staff told us that they used pictures to communicate with people, we saw individuals guide staff on the tasks they needed to be done and there was a friendly exchange between the person and the staff on duty.
