During a routine inspection
We found customer satisfaction surveys were used to capture feedback from people about the service. We saw recent comments that stated, 'We went to Belton surgery for a 3D sexing scan. Ginette the sonographer was more than helpful', 'My experience with reassured 3D was an amazing one. Ginette, the lady who did our scan at Belton was great' whilst another commented, 'The service received from Belton clinic is fantastic. Ginette is professional and kind.'
The service carried out social scanning to enable people have early pregnancy scans and gain reassurance about this. We found this process entailed self-referrals using the provider's website for submitting enquiries and making appointments.
We found people's treatment records were kept electronically with details about their medical history. Scan results were provided to people together with correspondence for their general practitioner or midwife.
We found overall satisfaction levels with the service were good. We saw customer comments that stated, 'The best money I ever spent! The lovely lady sonographer made it such a fantastic experience', 'Fantastic experience and handled in a professional manner' and 'Lovely staff, explained everything clearly, very happy thank you.'
The premises and consulting room were clean and tidy and the examination couch looked clean and untarnished. We saw the facilities were well maintained with appropriate floor and surface covering. We saw in feedback from people who used the service, about the standards of cleanliness, that 74.6 % of them had rated this as excellent with 19.4% rating this as good.
There was evidence that staff had the right skills for performing their roles. We saw staff had undertaken a variety of training to ensure their skills were kept up to date. We saw this included courses considered mandatory such as safeguarding children and adults, fire safety and life support, together with other specialist courses.
We saw results from customer satisfaction surveys were regularly analysed to enable the service to be developed and improved. We found the results of these surveys reported high levels of satisfaction with the service. Recent comments included, 'I can't recommend a reassured 3d scan enough, we had a wonderful experience', 'Very efficient, and scan was professional', 'Really excellent service, very friendly, kind and reassuring and professional experience.'
We found there had been no complaints received about the service at this location over the last 12 months
