Overview

Inspection carried out on 6 September 2013

During a routine inspection

People we spoke with told us they felt comfortable using the service and that the service was good. For example one person said; They make you feel welcome. You dont feel youve got anything to hide. Another person said; I got given all the help, advice and support I needed. I owe this place a lot. People told us how the service had helped them with other needs, for example housing and debt. They told us they trusted the service to respect confidentiality and to not give out information about them to anyone without their consent. One person said; I know theyve got to share information with the right authorities if theres a problem, but they wouldnt talk about me down the pub! and They excluded one or two clients who breached confidentiality. People told us the staff were good and that they thought the clinical room was clean and hygienic.

We found treatment and care was planned and delivered to meet individuals needs, and to promote their safety and wellbeing. The service worked with other services to ensure people received coordinated treatment, care and support. The provider completed all required pre-employment checks to ensure staff and volunteers were suitable to work in the service, and took steps to minimise the risk to people of acquiring healthcare associated infections. Records were maintained and were accurate and fit for purpose to support the safe and effective provision of the service.
