All Inspections

During a routine inspection

People who used the service like to be referred to as service users and staff like to be referred to as recovery workers.

We spoke with the project manager on the day of the inspection.

We spoke with two recovery officers both were able to discuss appropriate procedures were in place to ensure consent was obtained from service users. Recovery workers confirmed they always obtained consent from service users.

We saw evidence of completed personal details, medical and health care details were seen. All documentation was clear and followed a chronological pattern and was person centred.

We spoke with one service user who confirmed to us that the staff had gone through their care file with them'.

The manager told us they had regular contact with many other agencies for example, local authority, police, probation service and help direct.

The two recovery officers we spoke with confirmed their workload was manageable and there was enough staff on duty. One person told us, 'There is enough staff we cover each other if needed for example is someone is off sick. My workload is manageable'

We saw on display in the staff area a graph chart showing performance targets. Examples shown were, waiting times planned discharges and service user figures.

The one service user we spoke with told us, 'I have no complaints but if I did I would go to the manager'. They confirmed they had seen the suggestions box on display in reception.

During a routine inspection

During this inspection we were not able to get the views and opinions from people who used the service. Therefore we sent a survey for the project manager to circulate to service users. However we did not receive a response before the draft report was completed so their experiences were captured through a review of records and discussions with recovery workers (staff).
